What is the purpose of the 99%, non-coding, DNA?
Research in the field of epigenetics shows non-coding DNA has a specific function, and acts as a switch overseeing the coding portions of DNA, helping to regulate which genes get expressed.
This non-coding DNA has been shown to communicate via light, through bio-photons, and is programmable. We can influence our DNA through our thoughts, words and actions.
