True transformation and growth takes place just beyond  your “comfort zone”.  That means if you really want to make a leap, it may not always feel comfortable. However, the more you practice living the “anti-comfort zone life” the more comfortable you can get with being uncomfortable. The end result makes it all worth it!

Let’s examine your “personal comfort zone.” The comfort zone is different for each person. It’s based on experiences, successes, positive reinforcement and anything that helps us feel safe within your bubble. Everyone has a comfort zone, but how aware of it are you?

What are examples of your comfort zone?

  • Do you choose to operate within your comfort zone?
  • How often do you stretch outside of your comfort zone?
  • Do you grow within your comfort zone?

Anti-Comfort Zone Living for True Transformation

There is magick – true transformation – that takes place when we take a giant leap beyond what we have done before. It requires trusting the process and being okay with making mistakes.

When you look back at your life, do you want to be known for:

Taking chances, living life alive and leaving no stone unturned?

or

Playing it safe and living a mediocre life?

Ask yourself, what do you really have to lose?

Money, time, your pride, etc… there will be a list that comes to mind. Have some sort of personal mantra to say to counter act whatever fear is coming your way.

For example:

  • “I’ve always landed on my feet. I’m resourceful.”
  • “I always seem to figure things out. I know that I will be okay.”
  • “I choose to thrive rather than just get by”

I say feel the fear and do it anyway.

Have some sort of a back-up statement you can say to help when the fear creeps in.

Choose to surround yourself with people who will cheer you on when you are about to leap rather than keep you stuck thinking about all the reasons why it won’t work.

Get ready to redirect your thoughts!

You’ll try to talk yourself out of living beyond the comfort zone. Just because it didn’t work for so and so doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. You are a totally different person.

Just because it didn’t work for you in the past doesn’t mean it won’t work now. Again, you are a different person than you were two years ago. You have more knowledge and life experience.

The Anti-Comfort Zone requires action!

But the key here is to take NEW ACTION to achieve a goal. You may feel like you’ve tried a lot of different things that didn’t work but I promise you there are other ways to make it happen.

Find a mentor. Exercise. Meditate. Move your energy. Write a list of all the reasons why you are worth investing time in living outside of your comfort zone!

Leap = Reward

When I look back at my life, it was the biggest leaps of faith that lead to the biggest rewards.

Here are some examples:

Out of my comfort zone at work:

  • I turned down my first job out of college in St. Cloud MN to move to Los Angeles without a job or a place to live. I packed up my car, drove across country, met up with an acquaintance and asked for a non-paid internship. I was out of my comfort zone by turning down a “safe job” in MN, living off of savings, finding a roommate on Craigslist and living in a huge city. Three months later, I had three job offers for TV production jobs at Paramount Pictures, MTV and PBS. I got to choose what I wanted! Living out of my comfort zone launched my career in TV production. The connections I made at that first job helped me get several jobs after that. And an added bonus… I made close friends who I still keep in touch with 15 years later!

The Anti-Comfort Zone of Romance

  • I received a message on Facebook from someone who I didn’t know, and he asked me on a blind date. I was uncomfortable with the idea because I was sick of going on blind dates! I decided to go – reluctantly – and I ended up meeting the person I later married. Although we connected right away, I had a fear within me saying he was too good to be true. I almost didn’t want to believe he was a good guy. So I had to get out of my comfort zone and be vulnerable to allow him into my heart. I’m so glad that I did!

Stretching Beyond the Box for Personal Growth

  • When I was in my 20’s, I stepped out of my comfort zone to receive an energy transfer called an Initiation through the Modern Mystery School. I trusted my instinct to fly to a city that was offering the training, but it wasn’t really something I was excited about. I felt stretched to say the least. I didn’t know if it would work or if it was worth the investment. It ended up being a process of integrating all of it and using the tools that I received from the Empower Thyself Initiation. My comfort zone would have been to complain and say it didn’t work without giving it time to integrate or without trying. Instead of stretched beyond my comfort zone, and it paid off! A few months later I was receiving my next ascension through the Universal Kabbalah and kept growing after that. It has been the foundation of all my joy, abundance and manifestation. It’s taught me how to live life the most awake that I have ever been!

Live the Anti-Comfort Zone Life!

I invite you to assess your own comfort zone. Are you ready to live beyond it? My experience tells me it’s really the best way to live life alive!
